Our Story
As the son of a blacksmith, Wim van Schayik grew up surrounded by craftsmanship and technology. For decades, he collected everything that fascinated him, from antique hand tools to the earliest electric machines, until the collection simply became too large to keep to himself.
In 1998 he opened the doors. No grand plans, just: this is too beautiful not to share. The museum now has more than 70 trades and professions, spread over thousands of objects.
